Filmmaker and photographer Gillian Laub is best known for long-term projects that “search for a deeper understanding of family and tribe in all its forms.” Her most recent series, "Southern Rites," is a 12-year study of a community's struggle to confront longstanding issues of race and inequality. Her talk is part of the i3: Images, Ideas, Inspiration lecture series, which features presentations by digital photographers, hardware and software developers and industry experts.
