What is to be an American? Who is American? What makes you to be considered American? Who has the rights and true values to be considered American? Do you think you ought to be considered more American because… you were here first? Your skin color privilege or its disadvantage? Your social strata? Money? Power? Your Religion? Your political views?
Since the election of President Barrack Obama in 2008 till now on this current political climate our values and true identity as Americans has been put into scrutiny.
The exhibition is about who we truly are as Americans, people, objects and places from all walks of life from this great nation currently challenged by a climate of, racism, anger, political tensions and disparaging, the highest income and social inequality, xenophobia, homophobia, misogyny, police brutality and terrorism.
